Abstract: Abstract The obvious problem with our modern lifestyles is that we have seemingly grown accustomed to living beyond our ecological and socio-economic means. This ‘excess’ has manifested itself in a variety of forms, ranging from environmental disasters and ‘credit crunch’ to breakdown in community cohesion.
