Abstract:
This article deals with a new approach to industrial policy in France to support the creation of regional research clusters. We address the topic as follows. Section 1 gives some general insights into this policy. Section 2 addresses the structure and the working of one of the Rhône-Alpes regional clusters — the Lyon Urban Trucks and Bus (LUTB) Cluster. Section 3 describes the type of knowledge management within the LUTB cluster which is considered to be crucial for discovering and exploring new directions for research.
