Role of Leadership in Building A Sense of Community: A Preliminary Investigation

Pooja Mehta and Venkat R. Krishnan

Management and Labour Studies, 1999, vol. 24, issue 4, 236-242

Abstract: An attempt is made in this preliminary study to measure the sense of community among employees, and to look at its relationship with the perceived leadership style of the supervisor. The results indicate that nurturant, task-oriented, and participative styles of leadership are positively related to a sense of community among employees.
