Studies on the profile of IMT's Distance Learning Students

Paradigm, 1999, vol. 3, issue 1, 154-159

Abstract: Studies on the profile of Distance Learning Students carried out at IMT indicate that initially the students develop a high level of motivation. The motivation wanes with time. The same is true for confidence building. It is suggested that in order to sustain high levels of motivation and confidence, it is essential to have an idea about the difficulties of students. Another finding of the present study is enhancement of managerial skills. Factors determining this finding need to be analysed further. The study also revealed that there is no gender difference in respect of motivation, confidence building and acquisition of skills.
