S.N. Ray

Paradigm, 2004, vol. 8, issue 1, 20-36

Abstract: Background situation that led to development of the article time has come to appreciate ethics not only as a moral but as a strategic concept. The business co-operation that will lead the way in the years to come will be the ethical co-operation. It is an activity based concept. Very few examples are there where managers, when confronted with an ethical dilemma, stood up for their convictions. It may be because of employment conditions and absence of social security system. So one has to compromise with oneself for survival. This article seeks to identify co-operation as well as innovative behaviour in human resource management that are still in the “infant tree†stage but are to grow inevitably into a big forest because of their potentiality to tap “the changing spirit of the times†to adopt innovative / upgraded technology in the context of globalization in Indian industry.
