Abstract:
This paper analyses trade performance of industrial sector in India in order to gauge comparative perspectives pertaining to pre-and post-trade liberalisation periods. Major product groups have been covered from the industrial sector. In addition, analysis of exports is carried out with a cross-country perspective to study whether India's performance is remarkable or not. Since the Small Scale Industries (SSIs) play vital role in Indian economy, the analysis of export performance of SSIs has, specially, been looked into.
