Socioeconomic Change and Fertility

Abstract: Most previous efforts to model the determinants of fertility have used cross-sectional data and various forms of regression analysis. In this paper a recursive model of fertility in terms ofsocioeconomic change is developed and the parameters of the model are estimated using time-series data.
