Abstract:
The second European Full Employment Convention was held in Brussels on 4 and 5 February. Organised with the support of the various political groups in the European Parliament and of the ETUC, it brought together several hundred representatives of trade unions, unemployed workers’ organisations, socially oriented NGOs and political parties with experts and researchers. Much of the work was conducted in working groups, but the final plenary approved the following text, which inevitably is a compromise among the different participants. This declaration displays major concerns and demands that are shared by the ETUC
