Abstract:
This paper through a field research identifies the important factors which influence customers choice of bank in urban areas of less developed countries. The findings indicate that liquidity, speed of service and secrecy are the critical factors in their choice of bank. All the identified factors point out the same influence on both individual and corporate customers, which suggests that banks should minimize discrimination in their dealings with both kinds of customers.
