Agriculture and Development Notes, 2026, vol. 15, No 1, 8 pages
Abstract:
This Agricultural and Development Note (ADN) documents the journey of a crowd-farming platform created through the SEARCA Agri-innovator Program (AIP). The platform connects smallholder farmers in Myanmar with investors and offers a more inclusive and sustainable approach to agricultural finance. This note describes the platform’s features and benefits, and impact on smallholder farmers’ financial access. It also outlines the challenges encountered in the platform’s development, vision for scaling up, and partnerships needed to strengthen support for smallholder farmers.
