Brazilian Review of Econometrics, 1992, vol. 12, issue 1
Abstract:
This paper deals with the ordering of randon variables with equal mean according to their level of inequality. The analysis is developed under alternative notions of inequality and considers thc most commonly used inequality indices. In order to simplify the graphical illustrations, the exercise is developed for the case of a 3-individual population.
