Política cambial, política salarial e o potencial das exportações de manufaturados do Brasil no período 1954 - 74
Maurício Barata de Paula Pinto
Brazilian Review of Econometrics, 1983, vol. 3, issue 2
Abstract:
This paper provides answers to three questions concerning the behavior of exports. (1) We ask if foreign exchange revenue will increase when higher incentives are granted to exports. (2) Will domestic unemployment cause an increase in the supply of exports ? (3) Should wage policy be used as an instrument to increase the competitivity of manufactured exports ? The analysis is perforrned in the framework of a system of simultaneous equations. Estimates of supply and demand equations are presented in the paper.
