Abstract:
Pastore belongs to an economic tradition that began with Eugênio Gudin and continued through Mário Henrique Simonsen and Delfim Netto. These are professionals who studied and developed their careers in Brazil and who have trained many generations of economists. All three stand out for their desire to keep abreast of the latest developments in economic research in the main centers of the rest of the world, but seeking to use this tool to understand the challenges of the Brazilian economy.
