Abstract: This paper attempts to answer the following question: under what conditions is it possible to compute the (nominal and real) wage bill's rate of change in an economy where different workers have their wages asynchronously corrected for inflation as if there were only one homogeneous group of workers whose wages were adjusted simultaneously?
