Abstract:
The objective of this work paper is to identify the reasons why do the Romanian students travel, the amount of money they spent, what kind of destinations they prefer, how do they choose a destination. The methodology is developed according to this objective, based on Crompton` model. The research method is a quantitative one: a questionnaire-based survey. The data collected are processed in SPSS computer program. The results are important for travel agencies, hotels, transport companies, being useful in their efforts of establishing strategies and promotion of products/services addressed to this target market.
