Abstract: In the present scenario, cuisine tourism is one of the most emerging tourism products all over the globe. Destinations filled with various touristic attributes and attractions along with ‘cuisine’ or ‘culinary’ attractions or ‘food†surge ahead attracting a large pool of visitors all across the universe. Cuisine tourism is now the new buzzword in the travel and tourism competitiveness market associated with history, heritage, tradition, lifestyles, culture and gastronomy of a particular destination. In general , cuisine tourism very much used interchangeably with ‘culinary tourism’ or ‘food tourism’ or ‘gastronomy tourism’ have a global reputation among the tourists, but in the context of Odisha particularly, the cuisine tourism should be highlighted and explored to a greater extent , that can be moulded as a tourism product like other tourism resources .Hence the author has sincerely tried his best to explore the potential and prospects of Odisha cuisine , and chalked out a strategic framework for the development of cuisine tourism of the state.
