Now in the territory of the Rostov region 6,5 billion tons of carbon resources are reconnoitered. Their most part - about 90 % -is provided by anthracite [2] inventories. It is known that coal contains a large amount of impurity - various metals [3]. In case of study ofcomposition of impurity different coals, it was set that vanadium and nickel concentrates in anthracites [8]. According to the generalconcept of authoring research of a subject of the doctoral dissertation «Influence of biometals on a carbon cycle in a surface water ofthe basin of the Sea of Azov» [5,6,7,8,9,10] for the purpose of detection of sources of arrival of metals from the territory of east part ofthe Donetsk coal basin was continued study of the content of vanadium and nickel in water of the Don Rivers, the Severski Donets,Manych, Mius and the Gulf of Taganrog. Results of the pilot study are given in this short message.
