In this article, we analyze the documentaries, which raise urgent problems of society, hypothesis about the possible influence of documentary on Russian society, by means of an artistic image plexus and realism. In the course of research methods were used: analysis, analogy, observation, generalization. Relevance is determined by the necessity of research so far understudied field of documentary film, illuminating the actual problems of modern society. Therefore, the object of the study is actual problems of society in documentaries, as a reflection of the economic, political, ideological, socio-cultural changes in society.
