Abstract: This article researches and analyses Israel's role in international finance. The subject presents both theoretical interest for research in international financial networks and practical insight into how foreign investments can be exploited at the national level. This article briefly characterizes modern Israeli investment climate including investment legislation and government regulation of investment. Israel's role in the international investment market is analyzed both from the perspective of foreign investment in Israel and as a prominent investor in the international market. The Israeli security market and other financial institutions are then analyzed. This article focuses on the investment relationship between the Russian Federation and Israel. The history of those relations is analyzed, and the main directions in which cooperation in the twenty first century may be developed are outlined.
