Abstract: This article investigates the formation and development of Russia's investment process. The analysis of a country's investment pattern can shed light on its entire economy. The current structure of investment doesn't allow for a positive structural rearrangement of the Russian economy. The article recommends that the government should play an increasing role in the investement process.
