Abstract: In the article, evolution of infocommunications role is considered. At the end of the XXth century, infocommunications became the backbone of the world economy and the engine of contemporary scientific and technical revolution. In the digital world, developing countries begin to grow faster than the developed ones. In authors' opinion, this is the main feature of the new economy, and this tendency will keep in the nearest future.
