The role of the central bank of Russia in ensuring stability of the banking system

Abstract: The article presented and disclosed the mechanisms of banking regulation and supervision. Systematized the different approaches of economists in determining the supervisory and control concepts. The central bank is seen as governing unit of the state banking system. In conclusion, outlined the prospects for the development of the banking sector in the field of regulation and supervision of credit institutions in the Russian Federation.
