Abstract:
The genotoxicity of different doses of the antioxidant and antihypoxants drug «Emidonolum 5%» in somatic cells of parenchymal organs was evaluated in vivo. In this research were involved 30 laboratory BALB/C line mice with the average live weight of 18-20 grams. Experimental groups of mice were exposed to two different concentrations of the "Emidonolum 5%": therapeutic dose and tenfold therapeutic dose. For control groups was once administrated water for injection. Drug exposure in vivo for various groups was 4 and 12 hours. Evaluation of DNA damage and genotoxicity was carried out using single cell gel electrophoresis at high pH. During the study in experimental groups was observed increase of DNA damage compared to negative control groups. However the administration of recommended therapeutic dose was not cause significant increase of DNA damage in somatic cells. The administration of tenfold therapeutic dose significant raised the level of DNA in a «tail of comet». This effect tended to decrease with longer exposure.
