Abstract: The article concerns the formation and sustenance of food security of Russia. The authors view it as the state of the national economy and the goal of economic policy, when the public must have guaranteed access to food to such extent and such quality which would ensure the sustenance of productive life, all types of activity, and the preservation of health.
