Abstract: The article is devoted to current problems stockholders' equity accounting for the purposes of joint stock companies establishment. The author has based her study on an in-depth analysis of the laws and regulations on joint stock companies, regulatory control of accounting in the sphere and hands-on experience of stockholders' equity accounting in Russian joint stock companies and in foreign corporations.
