Abstract: The article uses the theory of reliability control in fuel and energy supply and the distribution of supply system infrastructural elements as a basis for the research into the economic nature and contents of the strategy for oil tank farms logistic positioning in the system of oil supply. The author examines the managerial and economic specifics of oil tank farms functioning on the basis of the rules of logistics.
