Abstract:

The paper examines the institutional and functional problems of the modern global financial architecture. The analysis of statistical data exposes an urgent need to seek a world money alternative to the US dollar. It is concluded that the New Development Bank and a pool of contingent currency reserves may become a basis for the promotion of the national currencies of the BRICS member countries on the global forex market strengthening the positions of these countries in the global financial architecture. It is proposed that the efforts in this direction be intensified. In this case the share of the Russian ruble in the international finance will grow, and the ruble can become a regional reserve currency.

В статье рассмотрены институциональная и функциональная проблемы современной мировой валютно-финансовой архитектуры. На основании анализа статистических данных выявлена насущная необходимость поиска альтернативных американскому доллару мировых денег. Сделан вывод о том, что Новый банк развития и пул условных резервных валют могут стать базой для продвижения национальных валют стран - членов БРИКС на мировой валютный рынок и укрепления позиций этих стран в мировой валютно-финансовой архитектуре. Предложено активизировать усилия в этом направлении. В этом случае доля российского рубля в международных финансах вырастет, и он сможет стать региональной резервной валютой.
