Abstract:

The article considers the competitiveness of the Russian economy in the context of intense rivalry among national economies across all social, economic and institutional parameters. The work examines the basic determinants of competitive advantages of the countries on a global scale, as well as the interrelation between competitiveness at macro- and micro-levels. The author points out that labor productivity is one of the most important indicators of the efficiency of public production and, therefore, economic growth. For illustrative purpose comparative data on labor productivity in Russia and other countries are listed. The article outlines some internal and external conditions contributing to dynamic and steady growth in productivity which must become the most important competitive advantage for Russian economy. It is noted that increase in labor productivity implies attracting significant investment, intellectual, scientific and technical resources.

Предметом рассмотрения статьи является конкурентоспособность экономики России в условиях обостряющегося соперничества национальных экономик по всем социально-экономическим и институциональным параметрам. В работе рассмотрены основные детерминанты конкурентных преимуществ стран в мировой экономике, определена взаимосвязь между конкурентоспособностью на макро- и микроуровнях, выделен один из важнейших показателей эффективности общественного производства и одновременно экономического роста - производительность труда, приведены сравнительные данные по состоянию производительности труда в российской экономике и других странах. Обозначены некоторые внутренние и внешние условия, вызывающие необходимость динамичного и стабильного роста производительности как важнейшего конкурентного преимущества России. Отмечено также, что повышение производительности труда обусловлено привлечением значительных инвестиционных, интеллектуальных и научно-технических ресурсов.
