Abstract:
The evolution of the repayments of the non university public teaching staff in the different Autonomous Spanish regions is analyzed. A review of the economic theory which relates the supply of teaching staff to the wage is made, concluding that It would not be applicable for the study of the wage dispersion in the Spain, when counting on an elastic supply. Next the wage framework of non university public teaching staff is exposed, going on to study of the existing differences between the different independent regions, for this it is resorted to the main indicators of dispersion and convergence. This analysis is made so much for the nominal wages as for the real ones, of the first years of the XXI century, observing a trend of a growing divergence. Also loss of purchasing power of these workers, as well as a loss of relative wealth with respect to the rest of the economic sectors.
