Abstract:
This study evaluates the management measures implemented by the hotel accommodation in a crisis caused by a disaster, analyzing the importance and the level of use of these measures in the recovery phase. Empirical analysis is conducted through a survey of three, four and five stars hotels in Galicia. It is suggested that cost-cutting in items other than the provision of service, the market orientation and the use of web tools are practices significant for facing business hardships in the crisis.
