DETERMINANT FACTORS IN REGIONAL ECONOMETRIC MODELS OF INTERNAL MIGRATION

Abstract: Since the late 80s the traditional pattern of interrexional migration in Spain, from the poorest regions with higher unemployment rates to the richer ones, coexists with a flow in the opposite direction called "inverse migration." This feature, common to the most developed countries in the OECD, has led to a certain invalidation of the traditional imbalance migration patterns from the sixties. In our empirical literature review, we point out the different migration factors in the regional econometric models of internal migration.
