Abstract:
This article, focusing on tourism, examines two issues affecting the sector. On the one hand, from a theoretical point of view, a new conceptualization of tourism –noumenic– and its impact on the design of a common tourism policy (CTP). And, on the other hand, through an empirical analysis, interviewing a sample of experts in tourism, the feasibility of implementing it in the European Union. Of their answers indicates that the majority follows the approach phenomenic under that there are emphasized numerous difficulties to implement a CTP. Opposite to this position, the author defends the feasibility of the CTP under a noumenic conception from the tourism.
