Abstract: A finales de 2015 se aprobó el nuevo modelo de financiación autonómica del Sistema Universitario de Galicia para el periodo 2016-2020. Este nuevo sistema pone énfasis en el ajuste de las plantillas de PDI a la demanda real de estudios y mantiene el peso de la financiación basada en resultados, dejando algunos interrogantes abiertos en relación a su aplicación. El objetivo de este artículo es señalar los principales elementos de este nuevo plan de financiación, tanto en lo que se refiere a las mejoras que introduce, como en las limitaciones que presenta.

At the end of 2015 the new state funding model of Galician University System (SUG) was approved. This new system places emphasis on adjusting academic staff to the real demand for studies and lays stress on performance-based funding, leaving some implementing issues unresolved. The aim of this paper is to highlight the main aspects of this new funding model regarding both its improvements and its unexpected limitations.
