IMPACTO ECONÓMICO DEL PUERTO DE FERROL – SAN CIBRAO: ARMONIZACIÓN DE RESULTADOS AL AÑO DE REFERENCIA 2016 Y COMPARACIÓN CON LOS PUERTOS ESTATALES

Abstract: Las investigaciones iniciadas en los años 60 que tratan de determinar el impacto económico de los puertos en las economías de su hinterland han ido depurándose, y las metodologías han ido convergiendo hasta permitir realizar comparaciones entre unos puertos y otros. En el sistema portuario español se han llevado a cabo importantes estudios de impacto económico y, entre ellos, destaca el del puerto de Ferrol-San Cibrao, tanto por el carácter pionero como por la diversidad de enfoques y, metodologías que se han utilizado para su determinación. En el presente trabajo se consideran los estudios más relevantes y, para el caso del puerto de Ferrol- San Cibrao, se armonizan los datos al año de referencia 2016 a través de los coeficientes deflactores del PIB, y se realiza un análisis comparativo respecto a los puertos estatales de característica similares.

The investigations initiated in the 60s that try to determine the economic impact of ports in the economies f its hinterland have been refined, and the methodologies have been converging to allow comparisons between some ports and others. In the Spanish port system, important economic impact studies have been carried out, including the port of Ferrol-San Cibrao, both for its pioneering nature and for the diversity of approaches and methodologies that have been used for its determination. In this paper, the most relevant studies are analyzed, the data are harmonized to the reference year 2016 through the deflator coefficients of the GDP, and a comparison is made in relation to the similar characteristic state ports.
