Abstract: En la temática de los recursos energéticos y mineros, se analizará la evolución en el ámbito gallego y las perspectivas de futuro, en España e internacionalmente. Actualmente, se utiliza un gran volumen de recursos energéticos propios, pero la capacidad de transformación energética requiere importaciones crecientes de energía primaria (petróleo, carbón o gas natural) para exportar energía transformada. La desaparición de la minería energética hizo perder peso a la actividad minera en Galicia, lo cual, junto con la caída de la minería metálica, ha provocado que este sector se centre en materiales unidos fundamentalmente a actividades de la construcción.

In relation to the energetic and mining resources, we shall analyze its evolution in Galicia together with its future prospects, within Spain and internationally. A big volume of its own energetic resources is currently used, but the capacity of energetic transformation requires increasing imports of primary energy (oil, coal or natural gas) to export energy transformed. The disappearance of the energetic mining forced the mining activity in Galicia to decline, which, along with the fall of the mining of metals, implied that this field focused on mining materials related to the building sector.
