Abstract: The group work, coordinated by Bevilacqua, on Italian Agricultural history in the contemporary period in the outlook of European agrarian history, is pointed up. The different husbandry systems, social relationships and the role of both market and institutions in the dynamic of contemporary Italian rural society are analysed as a whole.
