Abstract:
The Spanish Civil War and the Post-War Period implied dramatic changes for the institutional network which tried to spread new techniques and knowledges and which managed to establish during the 1920s and 1930s close links with the more market-orientated branches of the galician agricultural sector. The impact of a difficult political atmosphere, the corporate conflicts and those confronting technical against the members of the official unionism, the economic troubles, the research lines favoured by the regime and the international isolation will be the matters analysed in this work, which tries to show how science is integrated in the surrounding socioeconomic reality and therefore inevitably affected by the events produced on it.
