Abstract:
This paper focuses on the process to disseminate agrarian cooperativism and more specifically the one based on microcredits, and analyses its organisation and economic impact. The development of this kind of agricultural financing helped to incorporate small and medium farms into the transformation process that was taking place within the agrarian regional structures from the end of the nineteenth century onwards. We study the main organisations underpinning this movement along with the institutions harnessed to provide a specialised credit offer in order to establish its scope. A general balance of the scope of this credit offer is also reported.
