Abstract:
This paper reviews the papers presented in the contemporary part of the Labour Organization of the Rural World and its Historical Evolution session at the IX SEHA Congress in Bilbao in September 1999. Our review has been structured in three parts: 1. labour technical organization, agrarian growth, and measuring changes in agrarian work productivity, 2. Salaried work and capitalist agriculture: the debate about proletarianization, and 3. Work organization in the context of family holdings.
