Application d'une nouvelle mesure de la discrimination salariale à la situation suisse

Swiss Journal of Economics and Statistics (SJES), 2000, vol. 136, issue III, 341-348
Abstract:
First, we present the OAXACA'S (1973) traditional measure of the wage discrimination. We mention the shortcomings. Then, we describe the method proposed by SHRESTHA and SAKELLARIOU (1996). The later is applied to the survey 1994 on the Swiss wage structure. A significant discrimination in favour to the male is shown as well for the whole economy as for the private or public sector.
