Abstract: In this article the entrepreneurship activity is analyzed from the individual psychological perspective. Deliberations concentrate on the process of making decision by a young individual to become an entrepreneur. The main goal is to find factors influencing that decision to optimize instruments and methods supporting entrepreneurship. At the beginning of this article the research results are presented, which question the popular assumptions about sources of young entrepreneurs effectiveness. They are mainly concerned with the effectiveness of entrepreneurship trainee and the role of personality factors. These results are presented in the context of current academic research achievements. Presented deliberations prove that it is reasonable to search for factors of entrepreneurs behavior with the usage of occupational development theories, which is the most important issue for young people, because establishing a firm is often the first working place for them and an opportunity to gain professional experience. This thesis is verified by the results of quantity and quality researches.
