Abstract: This article aims to assess the implementation of process management in the surveyed companies. In the introductory part the author discusses the concept of process management. The main part of the article presents a "Model for process management implementation", developed by the author. It has been illustrated by preliminary results of research, conducted by the author in the fourth quarter of 2011. The presented Model, in comparison with the results of the research carried out, indicates that the analysed companies represent a relatively high degree of advancement in the implementation of the process approach. Subsequently, the article also presents the concept of the process maturity assessment, which, in combination with the presented Model for process management implementation, can provide a comprehensive approach for the improvement of both processes and the quality of offered products or services.
