Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to define the role of effective quality management in the implementation of investment projects. The importance of quality management for the success of investment projects is not always sufficiently appreciated in view of the service nature of the activities of project teams and the complexity and multidimensionality of the effects of their work. The first part of the paper presents the basic concepts of quality management process with regards to design projects. Specific investment projects in the commercial real estate are also discussed. Then. the results of surveys conducted among managers and directors of projects in the commercial real estate sector. These projects mainly concerned the investments related to the construction of commercial complexes and residential buildings. Managers surveyed gave their opinions on the role and form of quality management in implementation of investment projects.
