Abstract:
Architecture in Information Technology domain constitutes a synergy of science and art of design of complex structures to ensure usefulness and to control the evolution of that complexity. The paper covers presentation of standards and essential models of enterprise architecture development. In the second part of the paper the author focuses on models for assessing the architecture, including methods and models of business -IT alignment, software architecture evaluation methods and corporate architecture maturity methods. The last part of the paper includes the corporate architecture multi-criteria evaluation model.
