Abstract:
In the case of innovative e-business models, the Internet is something that enables existence of such firms (e.g. search engines). In another sense, all these are innovative models that build on the progress of ICT, respond to customer demand and thereby gain a competitive advantage. Innovation activity associates e-business models with business strategy, organization and technology. It is important to have the overall vision of the model. The close relationship of innovation in services and technology should also be noted. Innovations in services have been often studied in isolation from technology, which in the face of dynamic market changes, business, and customers may lead to misleading conclusions. Thus, a new service in an environment of new technologies may lead to the formation of new models of e-business. In the era of globalization and dynamic changes in the market the key features of e-business models should be their innovative character, flexibility, openness and generating added value for stakeholders. In the field of research, there is also an innovative approach to financing, the importance of social media, engaging users to contribute goods and services, mobile services, Cloud Computing two-(multi)-sided-business models. It is important also to take into account the convergence of devices and digitalization of content that lead to the formation of a new sector: telecommunications, services IT, media and entertainment sector – (TIME-Sector – Telecommunications, IT, Media, Entertainment). A value chain is a key concept, which defines the architecture of business models.
