Abstract: The aim of this work is to review the impact of Social Responsible Investment on the portfolio management and analyze the effectiveness of investment in socially responsible portfolio represented by RESPECT Index on the stock market. The outcome of the research carried out that investing in an index of socially responsible companies RESPECT characterized with exceptional levels of efficiency and relatively low investment risk during considered period. The results are quite unusual, since the global stock market returns of socially responsible indexes did not differ significantly from the rates of return of the traditional indices.
