Abstract:
The text is dedicated to a reflection on creative moments of the entrepreneurial organization. It presents the practical and theoretical possibilities that a historiographic approach to organization theory can offer, enabling a holistic understanding of the creation of an enterprise in its natural context. In the theoretical part we approach the idea of entrepreneurship as creativity, supplementing it with a reflection on the function of entrepreneurial stories in science and practice of entrepreneurship. Then, we portray the results of an ethnographic study of local entrepreneurship in Wielkopolska, focusing on the creation narratives. Thus obtained a comprehensive picture of entrepreneurial activities, leads us to formulate the postulate of a unique and important role that this type of research plays both in the scientific reflection, as well as in creative entrepreneurial activity.
