Abstract:
Food production is an important area of economy, especially in Mazowsze, which is the leader in the production of fruit and vegetables, milk or poultry. The sector of food processing requires developed technologies and the Innovation Cluster in Agricultural Business is a good example of the transfer of scientific achievements directly to enterprises. In the article one presents the way of cooperation between science and enterprises in the agricultural-food sector on the example of the Innovation Cluster in Agricultural Business. The following hypothesis was applied: cooperation in clusters brings positive effects to the entities functioning within their structures, which, ultimately, leads to the increase in their innovativeness and competitiveness. Data analysis indicates that the effect of cooperation between Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and companies in the agricultural-food sector is the Internet platform, which is a source of information regarding innovation in agricultural business. It enables the entrepreneurs gathered in the cluster to use the five innovative services made available through the network free of charge.
