Abstract: This paper presents the results of research on critical success factors (CSFs) for e-government. The aim of the multi-stage research was to identify CSFs for e-government in Poland and its provinces. The paper continues as follows. Firstly, it clarifies the concept of e-government and explains the e-government success. Secondly, the theory of CSFs is shown as a basis for identifying factors for e-government success. Thirdly, the paper presents CSFs for e-government in Poland and its 16 provinces. The paper concludes with a discussion on research findings, implications, and avenues for further research.
