Abstract:
The aim of the paper is to identify the role and functions of the voluntary private insurance in the countries that have different systems of financing the health care, either the Beveridge model or Bismarck model. The research was conducted on the base of the analysis of the statistic data illustrating share of the private voluntary private insurance in total financing expenditures on the health care and the development of the market of those insurances in UE countries.
